Dan Madinabeitia, Head of Brand & Design at Informa Interviews Global Brand and Design Leaders
I started FUSE Calls more than two years ago. I'd had so many engaging discussions with such phenomenal people over the years at the FUSE event I was compelled to put some great content out there for people to digest beyond the three day event. FUSE has been happening annually for over 20 years. Every year these highly talented, successful and brilliant designers, brand managers, creative directors, artists and business leaders attend FUSE. But the event only ever lasted for just three days. That's it. It felt like such a shame. We'd go to the event, attend the parties, "rub elbows" and then, it seemed, after the three days were over, everyone would go back to their own worlds and we wouldn't connect for another year. That's when I got the idea to broadcast interviews with the very cool people from FUSE. And so it is with great humility that I present to you this collection of interviews. My hope is that you may find this collection of discussions as interesting as I have. You may find some inspiration. You may even learn something. I sure have!
In my youth I was an award-winning art student. As I evolved both personally and professionally I learned to hone my skills to become a creative business leader on a global scale. I now lead brand, design, marketing, sales and product teams at Informa, the largest business information business of its kind in the world. I discovered a passion for design early on in my professional development. And I pride myself on using my fine arts eduaction combined with creative thinking as the foundation upon which I’ve built my career. As a design leader I have managed the creative process for thousands of marketing campaigns offering omnichannel solutions across vastly different industry sectors. I have led dozens of teams of designers and I have been mentored by some of the most knowledgeable and prestigious people alive today.
